— What the Greens Say · Three Patterns

It isn't the stroke. It's where the first putt stops.

Pattern 01
The short putt is his.
47 of 49 inside 6 ft across three rounds, and first putts from there went 14 of 15. The two misses were both 5-footers: R1 H17 and R3 H9. That is two short of the 100% standard, but the stroke itself is not where the shots went.
Pattern 02
The lag held for two rounds, then let go.
Beyond 24 ft the job is to finish inside 10% of the start. He did it 6 of 7 in R1 and 2 of 3 in R2, then 3 of 8 in R3. All five three-putts started with a lag that finished outside that line.
Pattern 03
Nothing from 6–18 ft went in for par.
Clutch Factor Putting was 6 of 18, and all six makes came from 5–6 ft. From beyond 6 ft it was 0 of 10. Six of those ten were 8–11-footers, and four of those six were left by his own lag.
— Bottom lineSolid inside 6 ft, above tour rate from 6–12 ft on first putts. The shots sat in the long lag and in the 12–18 ft band.
— Make Percentage · By Distance Band · Rounds 1–3

Above the line everywhere but one.

First putts only, counted on the green: 53 across 54 holes (R2 H13 was an ace). The dark tick is the house tour reference.

— Putt Distribution · Where the Strokes Went

Five three-putts, every one from a long lag.

R3 was 8 of 10, and his average first putt rose to 34.3 ft (20.9 and 17.8 in R1 and R2). More long lags came from where the approaches finished, not from the putter.
— The miragePutts ran 31 → 28 → 32 and tracked greens hit and first-putt length. Read the putter by the lag line and the 12–18 band, not the total.

As a first putt this band is above the line. It isn't a stroke problem. The par putts he missed from here were mostly second putts his lag left (4 of 6).
— Bottom lineThe 6–12 ft first putt is above tour. The par putts he missed from 8–11 ft were mostly left there by a lag.

Too aggressive, and always missing low.

His tracking app's own tendency read over his last five rounds, not a Kingsmill-only figure. The tick is neutral; the ring is where his misses sit.

Speed · aggressive at every length
Pinned to aggressive from 3–8 and 8–15 ft, and well past neutral from 15–35 ft. That fits the lags that left 8–9 ft at Kingsmill: a firm first putt misses by more.
Break · low side, both directions
Left-to-right putts miss right; right-to-left putts miss left. Both are the low side at every length, strongest from 8 ft out and on right-to-left putts: he is under-reading the break.
Straight putts · close to neutral
A mild left lean inside 15 ft and near neutral from 15–35 ft. The start line is sound, so the misses are read and pace, not the stroke.
— The playSofter pace and more break, at every length. Aim at the high side and let the ball die at the hole. In practice, pace these putts to finish one pace short of the hole as the target leave, until his average leave changes.
— The Work · Against the Three Putting Non-Negotiables

Sharpen one. Rebuild one. Own one.

Inside 6 ft is sacred. Beyond 24 ft, the target is the leave. Own one band at a time. None of the three is the stroke.
Non-Negotiable 01 · Attention
Inside 6 ft: two misses to close.
47 of 49 against a 100% standard. Both misses were 5-foot par putts. Same routine on every putt inside 6 ft, and finish practice with a ladder of 3, 4, 5 and 6 ft until ten in a row drop.
Non-Negotiable 02 · Attention
The lag: finish inside 10%.
11 of 18, and 3 of 8 in R3. Every three-putt started here. Lag from 25, 35 and 45 ft to a circle of 10% of the start (2.5, 3.5 and 4.5 ft). His profile reads aggressive: in practice, the target leave is one pace short of the hole until his average leave changes. Score how many finish inside.
Non-Negotiable 03 · The One Band
Own 12–18 feet.
1 of 9 against a tour rate near 17%, and below the line every round. This is the band to practise, and the only one: on breaking putts, play more break, since both directions miss low. Leave 6–12 ft alone: as a first putt it's already above tour.
The Standard
Putt totals track greens hit.
31 → 28 → 32 as greens went 14 → 15 → 10, and R3's first putts averaged 34.3 ft. Score the putter on make % by band, the three-putt count and the lag line. Putts are counted on the green only; putter strokes from off it are excluded.
— The verdictStrong inside 6 ft, above tour from 6–12 ft. Rebuild the lag, own 12–18 ft, and the five three-putts and most of the missed par putts go with them.
Data = the player's three Kingsmill shot-by-shot CSVs (R1 70, R2 68, R3 76), reconciled to each Raw sheet. Bands: lower bound exclusive, upper inclusive. Start distance = the putt's logged distance. First putts counted on the green only; putter strokes from off the green (R1 H13, R2 H2, R2 H15) are recoveries. Tour ticks are the house reference set (85/33/17/10/5%), not an event average. Clutch Factor Putting: par-or-worse putts from 5 ft and out, birdie-look first putt excluded; proprietary. Green-reading tendencies are his tracking app's own putting profile over his last five rounds (3–8, 8–15 and 15–35 ft, all green speeds), read as shown, not recomputed by us.RC Greenlight · Putting
